How to make a Floating Vanity with Mirror and Lights

This is the most inexpensive vanity you can make that is still visually appealing to the eye.

1. Download Provided Cutlist

       Lets get started with this project and the simplest way to do so is to download the cutlist we provide below or that you may have online. Doing this will save you time and money because you will not have to reverse engineer the process and instead follow easy step by step instructions.

2.Gather our material

       For this project you will only need one sheet of plywood to make the entire frame and for safety you will need a 1/4 backboard to cover the electrical wiring for all the lights and components.

3.Start cutting and labeling

            Begin cutting all the bigger pieces first and working your way down but ofcourse it will help tremedously to label everything before you start cutting as picture shows above or just keep them separated from each other they pretty distinguishable parts. 

4.Assembly

             We have made a video to help you follow along on this part because it will guide you which part goes connected to which piece. The project will be make up of two parts, the desk and the vanity, which at the end you will screw together as you are ready to install it. An electrical diagram is provided so you can hook up all the electrical wiring just how we did.

5.Touch-up

       Once the framed structures are put together lets go ahead and fill in all the nail/screw holes with a wood puddy and use a sanding pad between 80-120 grit paper. Followed by a prime, paint, and final finsih coatings as desired.

6.Finish off with Mirror

      Now resting the vanity down on its back face up lets use the mirror glue adhesive on the area of which the mirror will cover, it is recommended to do circles in a spread out manner. Once the mirror is placed it will take atleast a full 24 hours for the glue to seal completely. (Installation notes: The screws will go on the support pieaces found on back of desk in both cubbies, so make sure to hit as many wood studs as you can.)
